A muffin built around a burnt toffee flavoured filling, topped with chocolate and salted caramel flavour icing. Burnt toffee is a deliberately bitter note rather than a straightforwardly sweet one, which is what separates it from the caramel items Greggs sells year round. The name points at bonfire toffee, the hard, dark, treacle-heavy sweet traditionally eaten in Britain around Bonfire Night in early November. Building a bakery item around it ties the muffin to a specific few weeks of the year in a way that pumpkin spice, which now runs from late August, no longer does. New for the 2026 autumn range rather than a returning item, and it arrived in shops on 3 September 2026.
Twenty-six new items across four chains in five days. Buffalo chicken at Greggs, hot honey at Domino's, nine dips at KFC and another rotation at McDonald's. All of it, with prices.
