Buffalo style chicken mayonnaise fills a freshly baked baguette, with Mature Cheddar and red onion alongside it. The buffalo flavour is carried in the mayonnaise rather than applied as a separate sauce, so it runs evenly through the filling instead of concentrating in one bite. Greggs has built plenty of baguettes around chicken before, including the Tandoori Chicken Baguette and the Hot Southern Fried Chicken Baguette, but this is the first to go down the American wing-sauce route. The Cheddar and red onion are there to give it some weight and bite against the heat. It's a cold baguette rather than a hot one, which puts it in the lunch range next to the Roast Chicken and Bacon Club rather than in the hot food cabinet. Part of the Greggs autumn menu that reached shops on 3 September 2026, arriving with a buffalo pizza built on the same chicken mayonnaise.
