The Festive Flatbread is a Christmas take on Greggs' flatbread format. A soft flatbread is folded around pieces of chicken mixed with mayonnaise and seasoned herbs, along with bacon, pork, sage and onion stuffing and sweetened dried cranberries. Each part of the filling maps onto something from a Christmas dinner. The chicken plays the role usually taken by turkey, the stuffing and bacon cover the trimmings, and the cranberries do the job of the sauce. Folding it all into a flatbread rather than a baguette or sandwich loaf keeps it to a single piece that can be held in one hand. It's part of the Greggs Christmas menu, sold alongside the Festive Feast Baguette and the Pigs Under Blankets Toastie. It shares its chicken, bacon, stuffing and cranberry base with the Festive Bake, Greggs' Christmas pastry, putting much the same flavours into bread instead of puff pastry.
