Greggs' Pigs Under Blankets Toastie is built on sourdough white bread. Inside are pork sausages, smoked bacon and Cheddar, with a cranberry and red onion relish running through the filling. The top is finished with béchamel and a blend of cheeses. The name turns pigs in blankets, the bacon-wrapped sausages served alongside the turkey at a British Christmas dinner, into a sandwich. The sausages and bacon carry over directly, the cranberry relish stands in for the sauce on the side of the plate, and the cheese and béchamel are what make it a toastie. It was a new addition to the Greggs Christmas range in 2026, joining the toastie line that already includes Ham and Cheese and Cheese and Caramelised Onion. It arrived in the same wave as the Festive Flatbread and the Festive Feast Baguette, and sits on the menu next to Pigs in Blankets, a pot of six sausages wrapped in smoked streaky bacon.
