Diced beef cooked in a rich gravy, with blue Stilton cheese and grilled onions, wrapped in glazed puff pastry and finished with a black pepper crumb topping. The crumb is how it's told apart from the standard Steak Bake at a glance, since the pastry shape is otherwise close to identical. The Stilton is what makes it a seasonal item rather than a permanent one. It's a stronger, sharper flavour than Greggs usually commits to across a full year, and it returns each autumn rather than staying on the menu. That annual return has made it one of the more anticipated items in the Greggs calendar, in the same bracket as the Festive Bake if not quite at the same scale. It tends to arrive with the first properly cold weather and disappear again before Christmas. Back on the menu as part of the autumn range that reached shops on 3 September 2026.
