Honey with habanero behind it, and the habanero is the part worth noting. It's a considerably hotter chilli than the jalapeño used elsewhere in the range, so this sits at the top of the heat scale rather than in the middle of it, and KFC marks it with three flames on the packaging. The sweetness arrives first and the heat builds afterwards, which is the pattern hot honey depends on. Sugar coats the palate before the capsaicin registers, so the burn feels delayed rather than immediate. Hot honey has spread quickly across British fast food, turning up on McDonald's chicken and on two Domino's pizzas in the same year. Pushing it to habanero is what separates this version from the milder ones on other menus. One of nine dips added to the KFC core menu nationwide on 15 June 2026.
