Cayenne-seasoned chicken landed on KFC UK menus in May 2017, offered as both burger and bucket formats. In the burger, the fried chicken was paired with bread, sauce and salad, while the bucket meal kept the pieces bare apart from the dry seasoning, so the heat sat directly on the skin. Compared with KFC’s Zinger range, this uses a different kind of spice profile. Instead of a saucy coating, it leans on a Nashville-style dry rub with a deep red colour and a steady chilli burn. The line ran as a limited menu item, with 3-piece and double-bucket options.
