The Original Recipe coating applied to boneless tender strips rather than bone-in pieces. KFC has sold boneless chicken in Britain for years through Mini Fillets and Popcorn Chicken, but this is the first time the eleven herbs and spices coating has been put on a strip format designed specifically around dipping. That design shows in how it's sold. Tenders come in portions of three, five and ten, and they launched together with a nine-strong dip range rather than the two or three sauces KFC normally carries, which makes the sauce choice part of the order rather than an afterthought. The Tenders are the centrepiece of what KFC calls its Next Chapter, a global menu and branding overhaul that reached the UK and Ireland before other markets. They arrived on 15 June 2026 alongside the dips, which went straight onto the core menu nationwide rather than running as a promotion.
Twenty-six new items across four chains in five days. Buffalo chicken at Greggs, hot honey at Domino's, nine dips at KFC and another rotation at McDonald's. All of it, with prices.
