Barbecue is the flavour every chicken chain carries, so the question is only which direction it goes, and this one leans American rather than towards the vinegar-forward or mustard-based regional styles. Texan barbecue had a strong year on British menus in 2026, with Burger King running a Texan BBQ burger range through the summer, so the name arrives already familiar. Against the Original Recipe coating it does something the sharper dips don't: the sweetness and the smoke sit in the same register as the eleven herbs and spices rather than cutting across them, which is why it tends to be the default pick for people who order the same thing every time. One of nine dips added to the KFC core menu nationwide on 15 June 2026.
