A single British and Irish beef patty with a crispy potato rösti laid on top of it, then streaky bacon, a cheese slice, baconnaise and cheese sauce, all in a toasted glazed bun topped with sesame. The rösti is the part that defines it: a fried potato cake sitting inside the burger rather than on the side, adding a second crunch and a second starch to the stack. Rösti comes from Switzerland, where grated potato is fried flat in butter until the outside crisps and the middle stays soft. McDonald's Germany built a burger around it, and this is the version credited to the German menu in the World Menu Heist. Two cheese elements and two bacon elements run through it, with the baconnaise doubling up on the streaky bacon and the cheese sauce on the slice, so the flavour leans heavily savoury and rich. One of the items in McDonald's UK's 2026 World Menu Heist.
The World Menu Heist brings a German rösti burger, Canadian maple chicken, Dutch paprika fries and a sauce made famous by a cartoon. Every item, and when each one goes.
