Small breaded pieces filled with potato and cheese, fried until the coating crisps. They sit in the side range next to the Mozzarella Dippers and the Halloumi Fries, all three built on the same idea of a hot cheese-led side that isn't fries. The potato base makes them denser than the mozzarella version, and softer inside, which changes what they pair with. McDonald's has pushed them alongside the Hot Honey Dip and the Fiery Buffalo Dip rather than the usual sweet and sour, since a plain potato and cheese filling gives a strong sauce more room to work. Sold as an individual portion or in a 15-piece Sharebox, the format McDonald's UK has been using across its side range since the Mini Hash Browns returned.
