Butterflied chicken breast fillet, lightly coated and fried, sits in a round sesame bun with cool mayo and shredded lettuce. It came in three versions in the UK: Cool Mayo, Hot & Spicy Mayo, and BBQ Sauce, all built on the same chicken breast base. Compared with McDonald's McChicken line, this sandwich used a whole breast fillet rather than a formed chicken patty, so the shape and texture were more recognisably chicken. It ran on the UK menu from 2007 to 2022, before being replaced by the McCrispy.
