Buffalo sauce in dip form, hotter than anything else McDonald's UK keeps on the sauce list. The style comes from Buffalo, New York, where a cayenne and vinegar hot sauce cut with butter became the standard dressing for chicken wings, and the flavour has spread across British fast food menus over the last few years. McDonald's has positioned it against the Cheesy Potato Bites and the chicken range rather than the fries, which follows the American convention of using buffalo sauce with fried chicken and dairy rather than potatoes. It runs alongside the Hot Honey Dip, and between them they cover the two directions British chains have been taking heat recently: one sweet, one sour. A limited-time addition to the September 2026 UK menu, sold on its own or with a side.
Twenty-six new items across four chains in five days. Buffalo chicken at Greggs, hot honey at Domino's, nine dips at KFC and another rotation at McDonald's. All of it, with prices.
