Built on a sesame seed bun, this vegan burger pairs a Beyond Meat patty with vegan cheese, shredded lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion, ketchup, mustard, and a vegan sandwich sauce. The patty is developed with Beyond Meat and has a charred, slightly smoky flavour. Vegan cheese softens as it’s heated, though it won’t stretch like dairy cheese. Launched in the UK in 2022, it’s part of McDonald’s permanent menu here and is cooked separately from animal products. Compared with the rest of McDonald’s burger range, it keeps the same familiar assembly but swaps in plant-based components.
