Mixed Berry Muffin

What is it?

Mixed berries are baked through a large, fluffy muffin, with a crumble-style topping scattered over the top. The crumb is soft and moist, with fruit pieces dotted throughout for little bursts of berry flavour. Compared with McDonald's plain muffin, this one adds fruit and a bit of sandy texture on the surface. It's sold as a bakery-style item from the McCafe side of the menu, and it can be eaten on its own or alongside coffee. Crumble topping stays sandy rather than icing-like, so the structure is closer to a breakfast muffin than a cake.
