The standard McDonald's fries served in a shaker bag with a sachet of smoky paprika seasoning on the side. The seasoning goes in at the table rather than in the kitchen: tip it into the bag, close the top and shake, so how evenly it coats is down to the shaking. The McShaker format comes from the Netherlands, where paprika seasoning on fries is a familiar snack bar flavour, and the sachet in the Dutch version is labelled kruidenmix paprika. Paprika brings colour and a mild smoky warmth rather than real heat, which keeps the fries close to the original. Since the fries underneath are unchanged, the difference is entirely in the seasoning, and it works as a direct comparison with the plain version on the same menu. Brought to the UK in 2026 for the World Menu Heist.
The World Menu Heist brings a German rösti burger, Canadian maple chicken, Dutch paprika fries and a sauce made famous by a cartoon. Every item, and when each one goes.
