Smooth houmous comes topped with a PERi-PERi oil drizzle and served with warm pitta bread for tearing and dipping. Dip is creamy and loose enough to scoop easily, while the oil sits on top as a chilli-spiced layer rather than being mixed through. Compared with other items in Nando's starter range, it's built around chickpeas and tahini rather than chicken or fries, so the heat comes mostly from the drizzle. Pitta is soft and slightly chewy, giving the plate its main contrast in texture against the smooth dip. PERi-PERi oil adds a slow warmth rather than immediate fire, and the colour of the drizzle makes the whole dish look more vibrant. It works as a shared starter or a solo side alongside a main order.
