Flame-grilled alongside Nando's chicken, this vegetarian patty was built from soya and shaped to slot into a burger, pitta or wrap. The grilling gave it charred edges and a smoky surface, while the centre stayed dense and chewy rather than bean-like. It usually came with julienned cabbage, carrots and coriander. Compared with later Nando's meat-free options, it was more obviously soya-led and closer in texture to a chicken-style bite. In the brand's lineup, it sat before the current Beanie range and the Great Imitator, both of which use different plant-based mixtures.
