

Cheese melted between two slices of toasted bread, then pressed until the exterior browns and the filling softens. Served hot and cut in half, it’s a very straightforward toastie with a crisp shell and a molten centre. Compared with other Pret A Manger sandwiches, this one keeps things bare-bones, with no extra fillings or sauce to get in the way. It’s built for eating as soon as it comes out of the machine, when the bread still has a bit of crunch and the cheese is fully loosened.
