Ham and cheese sit between two slices of Pret’s granary bread, with the usual soft crumb and seeded crust. It’s a simple chilled sandwich rather than a toasted one, built for eating as it is or after a quick warm-up if you prefer the cheese softer. Compared with some of Pret A Manger’s more heavily dressed sandwiches, this one stays pared back: cured ham, cheese, bread, and not much else. That keeps the texture easy to read, with the bread doing a lot of the work and the filling staying familiar.
