Twelve king prawns come coated in a light tempura batter, sold as party food in a frozen pack. They're designed to cook from frozen, usually by oven baking or deep frying, so the batter stays crisp while the prawns heat through. Compared with other frozen seafood in the range, these are more of a finger-food format than a full meal, with a simple prawns-and-batter setup and no sauce included. Tempura coating is lighter and airier than a standard breadcrumb, which lets the prawn flavour come through more clearly. Each one is king-sized, so there's a proper bite of seafood inside every piece. Serve them with sweet chilli dip or soy sauce for a quick party platter or starter course.
