It’s a family-sized frozen pasta bake from Aldi’s Cucina range, built for oven cooking from frozen, though it can usually be microwaved too. Compared with simpler tomato pasta meals in the same line, this one adds pesto for a herby, garlicky note and a richer, slightly oily sauce. The pasta sits in one tray with the topping already in place, so it’s a complete oven meal rather than a sauce-and-pasta kit.
The cheese doesn't cook nice, I'm sure it's dangerous for people with narrowing arteries. Just see how hard the cheese is to clean off plates and utensils. Take off the cheese and it's ok to just eat the pasta and sauce. Standby for a photo of the state of cooking pot prior to cleaning. The cheese becomes rubber like and is very difficult to clean off completely. Please change or remove the cheese, Aldi.
