Two boneless plaice fillets come coated in a crisp breadcrumb layer and are sold frozen. Plaice is a flat white fish, so the fillets are usually thin and even, with a mild flavour and a fairly delicate texture once cooked. Heat them from frozen in the oven or under a grill until the coating is golden and the fish is piping hot through. Within ASDA’s frozen fish range, these sit alongside other breaded fillets and fish portions, but use plaice rather than the more common cod or haddock.
