Sourdough bread gets a garlic butter coating and a layer of melted cheese in this frozen side. It bakes in the oven from frozen, so the crust should turn crisp while the centre stays soft and a little chewy. Compared with ASDA’s plain garlic bread, this version adds cheese on top rather than keeping it all in the butter. The sourdough base gives it a firmer, more irregular crumb than standard sliced garlic bread, which usually means more chew around the edges and fewer of the soft, even slices you get from white bread versions.
