Spaghetti sits in a cream-based carbonara sauce with pancetta, usually finished with egg and cheese notes. It comes as a frozen meal from Co-op's premium range, which sits above the supermarket's standard ready meal line. Pre-cooked pasta is frozen before packaging, so it only needs heating through from frozen, usually in the oven or microwave, depending on the pack instructions. Compared with simpler supermarket carbonara meals, this one leans on a richer sauce and a more premium presentation. Ingredients are straightforward: pasta, cream, pancetta, and seasoning, with the sauce doing most of the work. Expect the pancetta to add small bursts of salty, smoky flavour throughout, and the egg-and-cheese base to give the sauce a silky, clinging quality.
