Garlic Baguettes

What is it?

Split baguettes spread with garlic butter, sold frozen and baked in the oven straight from the freezer. They usually come in foil trays or wrapped packs, with a crust that firms up as the butter melts into the cut surface. The filling is typically a blend of butter, garlic, and sometimes parsley or other herbs, depending on the batch. Within Iceland’s frozen bread section, these sit alongside plain baguette halves and other topped breads. They’re meant for serving as a side, dipping, or slicing into smaller pieces once baked.
