Potato chips cut with a crinkle pattern, usually sold frozen and cooked from the oven or deep fryer. The ridges give more surface area than straight-cut chips, so they brown a bit differently and hold onto seasoning in the grooves. In M&S’s frozen chips range, these sit alongside straight-cut and thicker-cut versions, with the crinkle shape doing the main work here rather than any added coating or flavouring. They’re made from potato, then sliced, par-cooked, and frozen so they’re ready to finish at home.
