

Six all-butter raisin pastries, ready to bake from frozen. Each one is made from laminated pastry rolled with custard and raisins, so you get a spiral centre and a soft, layered crumb once baked. M&S also sells other ready-to-bake viennoiserie in the same frozen range, but this pack sticks to the classic French format. Bake straight from the freezer, then let them cool slightly before serving. Once out of the oven, the layers should be golden and flaky on the outside, with the custard filling softened and the raisins plumped up from the heat. Best eaten the same day, while the pastry still has its crispness.
