Basil Pesto

What is it?

Fresh basil leaves, Parmigiano Reggiano, pine nuts, and extra virgin olive oil make up this classic green pesto. Blended rather than cooked, the texture stays loose and spoonable, with visible bits of nuts and cheese running through each spoonful. The basil comes through as the dominant note, bright and peppery, while the Parmigiano adds salt and umami depth.
