

Frozen raw king prawns come peeled and ready to cook, with the shell removed and the meat left firm and translucent once thawed. They’re ASC-certified and responsibly farmed, and they sit in Waitrose’s frozen seafood range alongside other plain ingredients rather than seasoned mixes or prepared dishes. Use them straight from frozen in a pan, wok, curry or pasta, depending on how much cooking liquid you’re adding. Unlike cooked prawns, these need heat all the way through, so they’re usually added near the end and turned until just opaque.
