Hazelnut is the flavour that behaves most like chocolate, which makes it a quieter Aero than the mint or the orange. It's high in oil, low in acidity, and roasted it picks up the same browned notes cocoa has, so it blends in where citrus and menthol stand apart. The flavour is carried through the aerated centre rather than as pieces. Whole or chopped nuts would fill the bubbles and defeat the point of the format, so a nut Aero has to be flavoured rather than filled. That's the constraint the whole range works under: anything solid takes the place of air.
