What is it?

A biscuit stick in a chocolate coat, and the proportions are the point. The biscuit is thin enough that the chocolate is most of what's tasted, which is the opposite of how a digestive or a Bourbon works. The shape is doing something too. A finger is narrow enough to be eaten in one or two bites and to be taken from a box without a wrapper, which is why the format survives mostly as something shared rather than carried. Coating a biscuit is also a moisture problem in reverse: the chocolate seals the biscuit from the air, so a coated finger stays crisp in a way an uncoated one wouldn't.
