Darkmilk sits between the two things Cadbury already made. It's a milk chocolate, with milk solids and the softness that comes with them, but carrying more cocoa than Dairy Milk does, which puts some bitterness back in. That gap is a real one in the market. Dark chocolate drinkers find standard milk chocolate cloying and milk chocolate drinkers find 70 per cent dark astringent, and the space between the two had very little in it before bars like this. More cocoa also means more cocoa butter, so the bar sets harder and snaps more cleanly than Dairy Milk, and it holds its shape longer in a warm hand. It arrived in 2018, which makes it one of the newest permanent lines Cadbury has added, and one of the few aimed at people the standard bar was losing. 90g.
