A Twirl is Flake technology in a bar shape. The centre is chocolate laid down in thin folded ribbons rather than cast solid, then coated, which gives a texture that crumbles along the folds instead of snapping across the bar. That crumble is the entire product. The same chocolate cast solid would be a Dairy Milk finger, and it wouldn't eat anything like this. Two fingers to a pack is the standard format, and it makes the bar unusual in the range for being one of the few designed to be halved. The coating is doing more work than it looks. Without it the folded centre would come apart in the wrapper, which is exactly what happens to a Flake, and the two products are otherwise close to the same idea.
