Swapping the nut changes more than it sounds. Almond is harder and drier than peanut, with less oil and a cleaner snap, so it stays distinct in the caramel instead of softening into it. It's also less savoury. Peanut roasts to something close to salty, which is why the standard bar reads as sweet and salty at once. Almond doesn't do that, so this version sits further towards straight confectionery. Almonds keep better in a bar as well. They carry less oil than a peanut, and it's oil going rancid that limits how long any nut bar holds its flavour. Everything else is unchanged: nougat, caramel, milk chocolate coating, same order.
