Smoky Bacon

What is it?

Northern Irish potato crisps coated in a smoky seasoning, these are dry-fried and cut into the usual thin shape you'd expect from Tayto. Dark, savoury flavour dominates, with salt, smoke and cured-meat notes sitting on top of the potato. Compared with Cheese and Onion in the Tayto lineup, this flavour goes in a more meaty direction. It's sold as a standard crisp snack, often in multipacks, and the seasoning is heavy enough to cling to each piece rather than sitting in the bag. For many in Northern Ireland, it's a staple alongside the cheese flavour, and both carry that distinctly Tayto character.
