Irresistible Mocha Ice Cream

What is it?

Mocha means coffee and chocolate together rather than either on its own, and the balance is what makes or breaks it. Too much cocoa and it reads as chocolate ice cream with a hint of something else, too much coffee and the chocolate becomes decoration. Roasted coffee brings a bitterness most supermarket tubs avoid, and that's the reason this flavour sits apart from the sweeter options in the Irresistible line. Cocoa softens it rather than adding to it, since chocolate carries fat and sugar the coffee doesn't. It's one of the few flavours in the range aimed at the end of a meal rather than at children, which is largely a function of that bitterness.
