The plainest flavour in Coles' Irresistible line, and the one giving the clearest read on the base underneath, since there's nothing folded through it to distract. Bean rather than extract is what the name points at. The specks are the seeds, and they bring a rounder, slightly woodier note than extract alone carries. Extract delivers the aroma without the flecks, which is why bean gets named on a pack whenever it's used. Cream, sugar and milk solids make up the rest, churned dense enough to hold a scoop. It's the flavour everything else in the range is built from, which makes it the fairest comparison against any other vanilla tub in the freezer.
