Maxibon's format is the point of every flavour it makes. One half is an ice cream sandwich between two biscuits, the other half is a dipped bar. Cinnamon Scroll uses that split to rebuild a bakery item, with the biscuit end standing in for pastry and the dipped end for icing. The slab is dough flavoured and swirled with a sticky cinnamon syrup. Two golden biscuits close the sandwich end, while the other is dipped in cream cheese flavoured icing with vanilla crumb pieces through it. Cream cheese icing is what separates an actual cinnamon scroll from a plain cinnamon bun, so putting it on the dipped half is the detail that makes the reference land. It's part of the Maxi Bakery line, where Maxibon files its bakery-inspired flavours alongside Vanilla Slice and Hedgehog Slice. Malt extract in the base is carrying the dough note rather than any actual pastry.
