The reduced fat version of Blue Ribbon's plain vanilla, and the difference shows in the texture more than in the flavour. Fat is what makes ice cream dense and slow to melt, so pulling it back leaves a lighter, airier body that softens faster once it's out of the freezer. It's still churned smooth and scoopable, but there's less weight on the spoon than the full version sitting beside it carries. Vanilla is the sensible flavour for this. With no inclusion or swirl to carry, a reduced fat base has nowhere to hide, and a plain flavour makes fewer demands on the fat that would normally be carrying it.
