Bubble O'Bill is shaped like a cowboy, and the design is the product. Caramel ice cream makes up the body, a strawberry section sits alongside it, the face is chocolate coated, and the nose is a ball of pink bubblegum. The gum is what makes it memorable. It sits embedded near the centre, so it arrives at the end and gets chewed once the ice cream is gone, turning a single bar into two things in sequence rather than one. Moulding an ice cream into a recognisable face is considerably harder than moulding a bar, and Streets has kept this one in production for decades largely on the strength of that shape.
