The tube is the format. A Calippo has no stick, sitting instead in a cardboard sleeve and pushed up from the bottom as it's eaten, which keeps the melt contained rather than running down a hand. It's a water ice rather than an ice cream, so the texture is icy and granular instead of creamy. That suits fruit flavours, where dairy would round off the sharpness that makes them work in the first place. Raspberry leads with the sour note and pineapple follows with something more tropical behind it. Of the Streets stick range this is the only one with no stick at all.
