

Shredded potato formed into a compact rectangle and fried until crisp and golden, this is the same flat patty tucked into Tower Burgers and Boxmasters at KFC Australia, also available as a standalone side. Inside, the texture stays soft and starchy, with a simple potato flavour and light seasoning. Because it's thin and broad, it cooks into lots of surface area, so the crunch lands before the centre gives way. It's also one of the few breakfast-style items on the menu that works just as well on its own as it does alongside gravy or inside a burger.
