Korean barbecue sauce usually works from soy, garlic, sesame and sugar, sometimes with gochujang for depth and a little heat, and it's a different animal from the smoky tomato-based barbecue sauce most Australians grew up with. KFC Australia added it to the permanent menu in 2026, one of eleven sauces launched with bigger Original Tenders and the Dip'd range. Korean fried chicken, glazed and often double-fried, has spread through Australian cities over the last decade, and this sauce points straight at that style. It sits alongside Texas BBQ as the second barbecue option, the two covering very different traditions. Sold in a 25 mL pot with a purple lid.
Bigger tenders, a Dip'd range and eleven permanent sauces, from Chimichurri Ranch to Liquid Gold. Which are new, which Britain had first, and which two are filler.
