Pickle Pepsi arrives as two containers: a cup of Pepsi and a smaller cup of pickle brine, poured in by whoever ordered it. Nothing gets mixed behind the counter, so the ratio is a choice rather than a recipe, and the drink can be tasted before and after the pour. Pickle in soft drinks isn't new. Brine has run through American ballpark and diner culture for years, and pickle-flavoured sodas have had their own cycles overseas. What's different here is the pour-it-yourself setup, which turns a novelty flavour into something closer to a build. Salt and vinegar against a cola is the whole question. The brine cuts the sweetness and adds a savoury edge that soft drink normally leaves no room for, and keeping the pour separate means the strength is adjustable rather than fixed. It runs with the rest of KFC's Picklecore range from 1 September to 28 September 2026.
