This is the sauce holding the Picklecore range together, pulled out of the burger and sold separately. Ranch already runs on buttermilk, dill and garlic, so adding pickle to it isn't much of a stretch. It sharpens what the dressing was doing rather than turning it into something else, with dill arriving from both directions at once. Creamy and tangy at the same time is the whole effect, the vinegar cutting through the dairy instead of sitting under it. Against fried chicken it behaves the way any acidic dip does, resetting things between pieces of a coating built on salt and fat. It's on the Australian menu from 1 to 28 September 2026, the first pickle range KFC has run here. The same sauce goes inside the Pickle Burger and over the Pickle Loaded Chips, so this is the standalone version of something already spread across the range.
Picklecore is the third time KFC has run this promotion and the biggest version of it yet. The menu is fine. The marketing is the actual product, and the Pepsi is the tell.
