Maple and smoke turn up together in North American cooking on bacon, ham and barbecue glazes, and on fried chicken the pairing echoes chicken and waffles with syrup. KFC Australia made it one of eleven permanent sauces in 2026, alongside bigger Original Tenders and the Dip'd range.
