The vanilla counterpart to the Hershey's cookie, with the chocolate on top rather than baked through it. A giant vanilla cookie with Nutella drizzled over the surface. Keeping the Nutella off the bake is deliberate. Hazelnut spread is mostly sugar and oil and would simply melt into the dough if it went in beforehand, where drizzling it afterwards leaves distinct ribbons with the texture intact. A plain vanilla base is the right partner for it too. Nutella is sweet and strongly flavoured, and a chocolate cookie underneath would compete with it rather than support it. Cut into eight slices and served warm.
