Mexican-spiced beef sits with rice, black beans, corn and salsa in a frozen burrito bowl format. The bowl is built for the microwave, so the rice, beef and beans heat together rather than being wrapped in a tortilla. Cumin, chilli and garlic do most of the seasoning work, with the salsa bringing the saucy part. Part of Aldi’s Health & Vitality Fit range, it’s pitched as a higher-protein meal, like the other bowls and meals in the line. Compared with a burrito, there’s no wrap to soften or crisp, just the filling components served straight up.
