The same raw dough as the Deluxe, baking for the first time in a home oven, with a shorter topping list: pepperoni over a mozzarella and Edam blend, finished with dollops of pesto. Pesto on a rising crust behaves differently to pesto on a thin one. A thicker base absorbs the oil rather than letting it pool, so the basil flavour stays in the dough around each dollop instead of running across the surface. Between the two Rising Artisan Crust pizzas, this is the simpler and the more conventional. The Deluxe spends its toppings on vegetables; this one spends them on pepperoni and lets the crust do the rest.
